Hi,
I've recently installed a Core Frozr S on my Z270 sli Plus motherboard to cool an i7-7700k after 5 days I've noticed that the thermal paste is dripped from the cpu on the motherboard for about 10 cm down the cpu. Could that damage my motherboard since it's dripping for few days and what's the solution pleaase !!!

Solution
If it isn't too much paste, you can do that yourself. Use a little isopropyl a;cohol on a lintless cloth. I use coffee filters. Gently dab the area and wipe it off,
Sounds like you over-did the TIM when you applied it. If depends on which TIM you used. Arctic Silver for example is electrically conductive. MX-4 on the other hand is not,
So, the answer to your question is maybe. if the TIM was conductive, yes. if not, no.

I've used the thermal paste that comes with the msi core frozr s they call it premium thermal compound x i don't know if it's electrically conductive

Does it have a list of ingredients? Look for anything metallic. Otherwise, we don't know.
I don't find anything about that but the motherboard still works fine even with the thermal paste on it, i've turned my computer off i will take it tomorrow to a hardware expert to clean it

My friend gave me some conductonaut so I decided to put some on my i5. I fried my Z270 almost immediately after turning on. Some must have dripped somewhere....

But “liquid metal”, is liquid metal. So, YMMV.
