Thermal Paste in Mobo

I got thermal paste in my mobo socket but I just installed Windows fine. I cleaned it a little with alcohol but not fully because someone told me it will be fine. Will I be fine

Probably. Thermal paste is minimally conductive (a mixture of conductive and non conductive materials) and is unlikely to cause a short unless you have gobs of it. Clean it up the best you can and enjoy your computer.
