Thermal Paste issue...

I just got the Arctic Cooler 7 heatsink and I originally put in on the wrong way. Some of the thermal paste got onto the processor and I'm assuming that one side doesn't have enough (or as much) thermal paste as the other. I've been running for 2 days since and temps seem fine. Could this cause a long term issue or am I just worrying too much?

If temps are good then you should be fine for very long time.

To note....

You should always use a minimal amount of thermal paste. The ideal amount would cover the entire mating area with a layer that is 1 molecule thick. Translated to layman's terms....less is more.

What's the best way to apply thermal paste onto a C2D and Thermalright Ultra-120? Anyone got any tips / ways to do it?

A pea-sized drop in the center is more than sufficient for a C2D and Ultra-120.
