Thermal paste on a GPU

And yes cause i forgot to mention it.I bought my gpu is a gtx 980 strix,do i have to apply paste before i install it on my chassis.Because it is still in the box,unopened do i need to use paste when i start my installation.Please advise

Nope, it is already applied under the heat sink.
