Question Thermal paste on cpu bottom pad

Hi

i have some thermal paste on bottom of cpu pad on side.

how should I clean it? Is it safe to clean that area?

please help me here. Will it damage the cpu if I clean.

it is working fine as of now . But i want to clean it.

You can clean it with a paper towel and rubbing alcohol.

Since you already put the CPU in the socket, you have already contaminated the socket contacts and those are far too delicate to recommend cleaning. If everything is working normally. then you may be better off continuing to use it as-is.

What if i have put the same in new motherboard?

shall i clean it before putting it into new mobo.

my simple question will it damage the bottom pad of cpu if i will clean with noctua cleaning wipes?

The pads are gold-plated to protect them from corrosion. They should survive anything that isn't strong enough to dissolve gold or hard enough to scratch it. Just don't rub so hard that pads might snag in the wipes and rip off.
Yes i have cleaned it off with noctua cleaning wipes

now thermal paste stain gone from gold plate of cpu.

and cpu working fine in new mobo.
