thermal paste on cpu socket

i got a i5 8500
aourus z370 ultra gaming 2.0
i turned on my rig then it only the fans spins and i got a red light on the cpu leds
after i open it i got thermal paste on the motherboard cpu pins
can some one help me how to get rid the thermal paste and if i succesfully get them off will my motherboard or cpu will be working fine? pls help im so confused right now
btw im using a deepcool z5 thermal paste

I would say probably. But you won't know till you get it cleaned.

I would only recommend using isopropyl alcohol. they sell it a CVS, Walmart, Cosco... anywhere.
