Thermal paste on fx 6300?

Just got my fx 6300 today. I got it used and yes I know brand new it comes with already applied thermal paste on the cpu heat sink. I cannot tell if there is any on though. I don't see any sign that thermal paste was on it before. I will be using this chip for gaming and heavy tasks.. Thanks

the thermal paste is on the CPU cooler.

Unless you are virtually blind you should be able to see any remaining paste. In any event you most certainly need to reapply paste to ANY used CPU.

edit: Of course if you have not removed the heatsink then you cannot see what is left. If that is the case it probably has the original paste on it but if it was me I would take no chances and put new paste on it.
