Question Thermal paste on GPU VRM thermal pads?

my question is, can i place some thermal paste on the thermal pads on the VRM ? that wont be a problem?

Why? That will make the thermal pad AND the thermal paste useless.

There really isn't a point because most of the thermal paste will just get squished out assuming you were using a thermal pad of proper thickness. And if you weren't using such a thermal pad, you're doing it wrong anyway.

Both, paste and pads are actually insulators but lousy at insulation, doubling or combinimg them just makes it worse to conduct heat.
