Question Thermal paste on my motherboard

Hi all, I only realised that I got thermal paste on my motherboard and some of it has dried. Do I need to get another motherboard now?

not likely. there are very few electrically conductive pastes on the market. unless it is one of those, the paste should not hurt anything. if it has had time to dry and the system is working , no worries mate.

Most pastes dont conduct much. It shouldnt cause any issues.

You can clean the paste off with isopropyl alcohol and a towel.

If the motherboard works, i dont see it as a problem.

I used thermal grizzly kryonaut thermal grease

Okay thank you and I brought some 99% isopropyl what else would I need to achily remove it

Microfiber towel. Something low lint.

A few Q-Tips, just open the cap and pour a bit into it, dip em, and clean.

Unless you've spilled an excessive amount (over a very large area) dipping some q-tips in alcohol would definitely suffice. It's not rocket science!
