Thermal paste overflowed and snapped my CPU lever... Please help

I was trying to fit my CPU cooler , so I put the thermal paste and it overflowed and got in between the CPU socket on the motherboard and snapped the socket lever. Now the lever slides down easily and does not lock the CPU properly.. Please help anybody
