thermal paste problem

I got thermal paste on my motherboard. Here is a picture! Is it going to affect and can I clean it??

Yes you can clean it. With the system unplugged and with the capacitors discharged, you can use a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol to clean it up.

I doubt that it will have any ill effects though.
