Hi guys, i just adddd some coolermaster ic 2 gold to my cpu and im getting temps of 34-38 idle. Is this normal? I dont know if the paste needs time to settle either but i was curious. Anyway should i repaste or leave it as it is? Fans are all connected 100% heard thr clicks on all 4 sides. Oops forgot to mention its the i54670k cpu :p

Solution
yes you will see a significant difference, but if you dont want to spend the money, and now you are ok, i dont know much about overclocking, so better to answer some1 else on that.

Edited the main post forgot to say the cpu is the i5 4670k. Ill check it under load and post back, what temps are normal for underload on this cpu with a stock cooler?

How hot does it get when it's on load? 34-38 is a bit high, but Haswell runs a bit hotter so it's probably reasonable. Open every program you can at once and tell us what it hits.

Hope I could help!

yes if the temps arent going higher from that its ok. check it with 1 hour gaming + if the temps dont go higher then leave it as it is.

Will do, thanks for the input guys. I will post results after my gaming session and let you know. Idle temps are actually 31-34 (core 1 running 1-2 degrees higher than the other 3)

60-70 with 1 random spike to 75 in a 2 hour gaming session. usage was 98.4% within the 2 hours on average. I'm guessing the temps are fine but I will probably purchase a cooler. Just need to find which one fits in my coolermaster elite 120 hopefully overclock proof
