[SOLVED] thermal paste

Im planning to get i5-9400f. Is there any tips on managing the thermal paste?

What do you mean? If you are taking about applying it then just put between a large rice grain and pea sized amount on the middle of the CPUs heat spreader then put the cooler on.


However many cooler already have pasted applied to them so just be sure to remove any plastic film if that's the case

I actually never build a PC before, Im here making sure if I can follow a thermal paste tutorial to apply on my i5-9400f

Most coolers come with it and instructions--just follow those and you'll be good.

If the cooler already comes with thermal paste pre-applied you dont need to but when you need to change it you'll need to buy a tube yourself.
