idk if that last one appeared but i have my i7 920 @ 3.8GHz and its idling @ 80 C! with the thermalright ultra 120 extreme 1366. UNACCEPTABLE. It blue screens all the time now. Just installed it. With stock cooler it never blue screened @ 3.8. except in GTA IV. My motherboard is a MSI x58 pro. im sure that the compoud was put on right...ocz freeze.... but its not working at all...the heat sinc that is.....HELP ME!

it says it has to turn off to prevent damage...........this is really confusing seeing as the stock cooler never bluescreened like this

Run occt; it gives a good read-out of temps too. If you're running 80c on idle thats going to be dangerous with any load. My i7 on an Asus P6T and over clocked to 3.6, its idle temp at 3.6 is around 42c, and load peeks at around 72-73. If you're using the stock HSF and running 3.8 I wonder if you live in Alaska, because with Ambient temps and MOBO/Proccessor you're running dangerous grounds.
