So, I'm in a bad luck lately... I bought a used SB-E but it came with a wrong mounting kit. Either the anchoring mount, or the top mounting plate is bad - the backplate is okay - because the screw holes are not aligned, the distance between the top 2 screw holes is a few mms shorter as on the anchoring mount... I contacted the seller, but he claims he used it that way, but he has an universal mounting kit, he'll send it to me.
Today it arrived, but as I see on the website, it only compatible with the Silver Arrow, and NOT with the SB-E edition. I tried to assemble it as a test without the motherboard... well... It could be used, but it only holds the heatsinks groundplate at its sides, and the whole heatsink can be moved a few mms, towards/backwards the RAM slots, when installed.
My question is: is this another kit may be compatible?
Thermalright VX BTK Bolt-Thru-Kit II
Or what other options do I have?
I'm using a LGA1150 motherboard.
