thermaltake 120 ultra and MB damage

This might be a naive question, but with the thermaltake 120 ultea and fan weighing nearly 2 lbs, does it have the potential to damage your MB since the vast majority of people are using it in a tower case? That much weight attached vertically to a pretty thin MB can't be good for it... am I missing something?
