Thermaltake 750 Watt Smart PSU question.

I was looking into replacing the fan on my PSU with a 140mm case fan, Noctua preferably, anyway I was wondering if anyone has done this with the same PSU and would like to share the difficulties and dangers of doing this on this specific PSU. Also, is it the same as connecting a fan to your motherboard?

There are different connections and I will advise against it unless you have a broken fan, there are dangers involved and you will void your warranty.

I have no warranty left and want a quieter fan so that it isn't the only thing in my rig that makes noise. If it is just like a regular fan header I definitely be going through with this, seeing as I have little to no experience with soldering.

It is a a different connector in all PSU's I have taken apart basically a smaller 2 pin. Beware of the charge in capacitors if you open it up.

There is a way to discharge the capacitors before you open it up and do anything.

Theoretically unplug the computer and hold down the power button. Still may leave some charge.
