Hello all! Recently, I acquired a ThermalTake Chaser MK-1, which I moved my system into. Since then, I became a bit of a cooling fanatic, getting my 7970GHZ to run at 36*C idle, and my i7 2600k to run at 33* idle.

I decided I would over clock my 7970, which didn't really work. It is a Gigabyte GV-R7970OC-3GD, and whenever I overclocked it (Via MSI afterburner) more than 20Mhz, I black-screened. After doing a bit of researching, I found out that the voltage is locked, and with this being my first attempt at an overclock, I figured that it crashed due to not having enough power. I am still unsure if this is true, but I do know that the card does not overclock well anyway.

Finishing that, I decided I would attempt to overclock my i7-2600k with the stock cooler. When I found out that third party-programs, for CPUS, don't really work as well as using the BIOS, I went in to the BIOS- and found no options for overclocking. I used Speccy to find my motherboard, which I then found it was an OEM, and came to the conclusion that Acer made a PC with an overclockable CPU and a Motherboard that can't be overclocked. Yes, I did originally buy this as a pre-built, but since then I have upgraded it myself.

Anyway, seeing as I currently surpassed my saving for an SSD, I figured I should buy a new motherboard, that I can overclock with, and I might as well add some case fans in the process. I made a thread in CPUs I believe, and I came up with this:

I had to add the motherboard at the bottom due to me ordering it from Murica' and that I couldn't find it in AU PC-Partpicker. (Yes, I am Australian).

One thing I couldn't find was weather they were intake/outtake fans. I am looking for an out take fan for the other slot at the top of my case, and an intake for the side. (Both 200mm, I believe.) I feel that would direct the air pretty well through the case. So that is what I am looking for.

Is there anything better then what I have above? That would fit my case?

Here some pictures of the room in my case, as it is now:

So, is my PCPartpicker list any good? What should I keep/change? Is the motherboard very good at overclocking? Is the CPU cooler as good as the reviews say?

Thanks,
