Will this cooler fit in new mobos if i want to upgrade for example to intel i7 in socket 2011-3 in the future in a few words does it worth buying right now?

right now i have amd 8 core 8120 proc..
and m5a87 socket am+3 so it fits.

by the way in my mobo m5a87 will this cooler eat 1 slot ram ?

And if you have low profile RAM you are fine, otherwise you will lost the 1st RAM slot, but you can move the RAM into the 2nd/4th if you have only 2 sticks.
