Just wondering, if 45 - 47 degrees C (idle) 61 degrees C max were safe temperatures for my processor
my fan was running at 100%

Should these be the temps to expect with this cooler? or should they be lower?

would anyone know what the 'Auxiliary Temperature' means? What exactly is it measuring the temperature of?
(i already have a 'board temperature' reading too)

Thank you for any help/advice

My computer is:
AMD: Athlon 64 X2 5200+ OCed @ 2999 MHz
Fan: Thermaltake MaxOrb Enthusiast CPU Cooling Fan
Mobo: Gigabyte M57SLI-S4 w/ nForce 570 SLI chipset
RAM: 4GB Mushkin DDR2 PC2-6400 DDR2
OS: Vista 64bit
VC: EVGA 8800 GTS 320MB

arges86 i believe you are rite on the socket type,i sujest for a small amount of cash about (50$) u go find your self an asus lion square thatll keep your temps nice and low :hello:

WELL THEN I SUGGEST A ZALMAN COOLER WHICH LOOKS SIMILIAR TO THE ORBS BUT IS MUCH MORE EFFETIVE AND ALSO MOST OF THEM COME WITH A MANUAL CONTROLLER IF YOU WANT TO INSTALL IT

They just don't take the time to look.

This is the most important spec. Thermal Resistance: 0.18°C/Watt
Let the others beat that for the same price or less.
Application:
Up to 130 Watts
AMD Socket AM2+, AM2, 939, 754
- All Athlon 64 X2, Athlon 64
- All Athlon 64 FX, Sempron
- Opteron

Oh and please don't waste your money on anything made by ASUS.
