I'm considering upgrading my MSI HD6870 "Hawk" video card to an MSI R9 270X HAWK LE.
Will I need to upgrade my PSU.

No, you'll have plenty of power with your current PSU, unless you're running 30 HDDs and 60 case fans or something.

r9 270x has the same power requirements as hd 6870. 500w psu with 2x6pin pcie power connectors. if you already running 6870 without any problems, you wont deal any, with 270x also!
