I bought and installed Thermaltake's Water 2.0 Extreme clc. I mounted it to my cpu and then installed the radiator and two fans to the top of the haf xm case. Then, I plugged the pump into the USB header on the board, plugged my two fans into the "pump"/mounting block, and then the mounting block into the CPU_FAN header. Next, I installed the software that came with the thermaltake product. Now here's my two issues...First, I am getting no values for the RPM of the two fans connected to the radiator. They power on and work, but I think they're at a constant speed even when the cpu warms up. I'm worried they won't increase in speed when needed. Neither the BIOS or the ASUS windows program recognizes them as being connected. However, if I connect a fan to the same header by itself, it recognizes it. What could be the issue here?
Secondly, the software that came with the product doesn't launch. It says there's an error with the USB connection (which I checked multiple times). Any ideas?

Solution
I've been having the exact same problem. Contacted both Thermaltake and ASUS support and only ASUS has replied. The most helpful part of what they said...

"As the connector on the cooler you use seems to be a 3-pin connector, so I suggest you to set the CPU Q-Fan Control to Advanced mode under the Monitor Menu under the Advanced mode in the bios for a try."

I have the ASUS Z87-A motherboard and the Thermaltake Water 2.0 Extreme. The 3-pin connector is plugged into CPU_FAN and the USB connector is plugged into one of the USB connectors on the motherboard, currently USB910, but I don't think it matters which USB connection you use.

Behavior before: Dual fans on the Water 2.0 Extreme ran 100% of the time with idle temps around 27-29...

Behavior before: Dual fans on the Water 2.0 Extreme ran 100% of the time with idle temps around 27-29 C and only moving up a degree while mining. Device Manager | [Computer Name] | Other devices (with a "?") | 690LC (with a "!") - So the motherboard doesn't recognize the water cooler.

Behavior after: Dual fans on the Water 2.0 Extreme now seem to run only when needed. Device Manager | [Computer Name] | Other devices (with a "?") | 690LC (with a "!") - So the motherboard still doesn't recognize the water cooler, but at least the fans are being controlled by the limits set.

The change: Entered BIOS via F2, Clicked "Monitor", scrolled down and changed the CPU Q-Fan Control to "Advanced Mode" and the "CPU Fan Profile" to Manual and set limits. I'm currently experimenting with the limits, but even while mining and running a Prime95 torture test, my CPU temps didn't go above 65 C.
