Thesaurus in Word 2010 not working on Windows 7 Ultimate

I am supporting a user who is currently using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

They are having issues with Word 2010 Thesaurus not working. If I type in the word 'big' and then press shift and F7 it says there are no recommendations.

I have tried running a repair of office, reinstalling office 2010, changing some registry settings and reinstalling the proofing section of office all to no avail.

I have searched Google and Microsoft websites and forums but cant find anything more to try.

Any suggestions helpful.

You may need to do a complete reinstall of O2010. When doing so, make sure all desired options are selected (custom install).

Everything to do with the Thesaurus and Dictionary are automatically included with the Typical installation.

I have 3 other client machines which work perfectly and the Thesaurus works. However, this machine doesn't and I haven't done anything differently during installation.
