Hi all,

I'm having much problems upgrading my Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. Can't open Start Menu, neither Settings and the most blocking is that I can't open practically any file/program (Thank god I still have Chrome to post this) without having the error "These files can't be opened - Windows Security" .

I'm aware this problem has been resolved for others by following the instructions here :
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2588679

but my Internet Options are far more limited. The security levels are enabled (and they shouldn't ) but they are greyed out and thus I can't change anything.

How it should be:

I don't have the 4 zones Internet, Local Internet, Trusted sites and Restricted sites but I only have a "My computer" -icon that is locked by a key.

(I will try to add a photo later on with my smart phone)

Any suggestions? Anything is welcome!

Thanks!

So it's running fine now, or the upgrade process completed but you're still having problems?

If the upgrade process completed and you're still having issues I'd highly recommend that you go to control panel, system, and on the system tab look to see if it indicates windows is activated. If it IS activated, but you are still having issues, I'd do a clean install which has been the most efficient remedy for almost everybody who is having problems after the windows 10 upgrade. Here's how to go about doing that.
