WHY do you think so? Why is hercules the best card?
From what I can read the HIS excalibur and Sapphire have better ImageQuality (atleast when THG compared 9700pro cards). I wrote about this in an earlier post and some people, in turn, doubted that and asked for a link. Well here it is:
http://www6.tomshardware.com/graphic/20021104/r9700pro-cards-02.html

But my first question to Spitfire still stands: WHY IS HERCULES BETTER then the other ones?

Opinion about Hercules, HIS and Sapphire stated in the buyers' guide is NOT my opinion.

According to some regular graphics card members, I should put HIS in the "Brands to avoid" list. Some of the members think HIS is okay. This is why I didn't recommend HIS or said HIS is bad.

Many people like Sapphire cards. Some of them didnn't want it in the BEST list. So I put Sapphire in the "GOOD" list.

That THG link is useless to me. Radeon 9700 PRO is available for ~1 year, and I haven't heard such things in this forum- "My X brand Radeon 9700 PRO has better image quality than Y brand Radeon 9700 PRO". IMO, all Radeon 9700s have ~equal image quality

Do you have any links to back this claim. I would enjoy reading such an article if one actually exists.

Actually Spitfire, if you read the Conclusion to this article you'll see that Turk has actually presented a very valid and worthwhile point:

<A HREF="http://www6.tomshardware.com/graphic/20021104/r9700pro-cards-24.html" target="_new">http://www6.tomshardware.com/graphic/20021104/r9700pro-cards-24.html</A>

Here's a snip of the Conclusion:

All the cards in this test are based on the ATi reference design. All the cards have the same clock speed, making it impossible for any one of them to outdo its brethren. Even the hardware accessories are, by and large, very similar to one another. The only differences are in the software. If you're interested in a large game bundle, the Gigabyte Maya II GV-R9700 PRO may be the card for you. Hercules' 3D Prophet 9700 PRO has a striking design and a real sweetener in the current gaming hit Morrowind. HIS' software bundle is nothing to sneeze at, either. HIS and Sapphire take the cake in display quality.

If people really cared about this sentence, they would buy much more Sapphire and HIS cards.

Since nobody cares about this conclusion, I think we also should not.

Remember, it was THG and Lars, who said "FX5600 (non-Ultra) is the best buy.

i do doubt THG sometimes. IQ has nothing to do with software. drivers and refresh setting do. The drivers are made by ATi and pretty much everycard has similar refresh settings. Hercules are excellently packages and atleast HAVE A BUNDLE. HIS and Sapphire just give u the driver cd, manual and the card. -_-

You mean a representation of an "Asian face" or do Asians tend to use that combination of characters to form a face as part of the internet culture.

Only if an Asian female, could be posting on these forums. OMG, I could feel it NOW! Ahwww that sick fantasies I have.
