Thief 3 crashes

Anyone experiencing frequent crashes?
Thief 3 crashes and returns me to the desktop on a very regular basis.
What a pain in the butt!

Only one crash for me. It was in the first moments of my game play after
installing it. I think I was just low on resources or something, because
after rebooting it hasn't crashed again and I'm almost through it the
second time now.

It's only happened once, but my 9800 Pro with stock cooler was pushing 405 /
720 at the time. Backed down to 400 / 700 and has never happened since.

Already played the game through twice - it CTD
twice the first time and once the second time. I
do overclock my card slightly but other games like Far Cry run completely
stable so Im not assuming thats the cause. Just use the quicksave key
regularly.

I tried all the suggestions in the read me notes including uninstall and
reinstall, that got the longest play without a crash. Very frustrated with
it.
