Thin Fans Behind Motherboard Good or Bad?

I have space on the side panel of my computer case closest to the back of both my motherboard that I can purchase and mount thin/slim 120mm case fans to cool the back of both my motherboard and CPU socket. Is it a worthwhile $20 investment, or would the returns be minimal at best? Thanks.

If the rig was overheating that bad, putting a fan behind the mobo was a bandaid at best and should have required a beefier cpu cooler and better case airflow.
Ya its good you need only airfolw in to the case so that it get fresh and cool air form outside of case and cools the motherboard back side so that you can control your motherboard temp.

It can't hurt except for the fact that most of those (just like mine) have no dust filtration of any kind, so using as an intake wouldn't be the best idea, and used as exhaust only pulls additional warm air to the area. Mainly I believe it's just a sales gimmick the case designer thought would be affective somehow.

you are right but he didn`t covered his overclocking and rig config
