Things I can do to improve my laptop?

Right now, I'm using a Toshiba Satellite l505d-s5983 (so like the lowest of the low end as far as anything gaming is concerned, but I got it for free so I can't complain too much about it.) And I was wandering what things I can do to it to improve it? I'm not wanting something that will turn it into a beast of a computer, just to get a more enjoyable experience out of some of the small games I play like Minecraft, Garry's Mod, Unturned, ect.

so according that most of laptop equipments are soldered so they don't have the ability to upgrade but there are some of them that can change like the HDD that (if supported)can be upgraded to SSD that has the most effect on the laptop speed (not performance) and ram (if not soldered) for booth speed and performance but things like CPU and GPU cannot be changed !

Can you recommend a laptop that will get me the biggest 'bang for my buck'?

for a long term investment ,a computer that would be upgrade able for a long time and you could change the whole system is nothing but a Desktop ,that way you could spend the money the way you need for example if you need more graphic performance you have many options from cheap to expensive based on your budget and requirements.

a laptop on the other hand has the most upgrade ability in RAM ,Storage ,Optical Drive,Speakers,and hardware's like that but important stuff like CPU or GPU cannot be changed in most of mobile devices!.
