The photographs are a bit blurred and it is difficult (for me at least) to fully see what has happened.

However that grayish blob shown in the 1 - 2 o'clock area of the hole does appear to show damage.

Are you able to take a couple more photographs that are sharper, clearer, and more focused on the area in question?

If so, do so, and post here via imgur (www.imgur.com).

Hope this photo is a little better looks like it has damaged the traces around the socket but either way still can’t get the DRAM led to go away even with a CMOS clear

Large area of bare copper, gouge into the layers and deep right across the paths of some pretty fine traces. It looks like permanent damage. Does at least one channel of memory work?
