Think I May Have Scuppered Myself with Earphones...

Hello

I currently have some Powerbeats. I don't know what kind but they're linked with a flat cable, which is a little annoying.
But they were free.
The sound given is pretty good I'd say but I am now interested in bud type ear phones to get rid of the cable.

So I bought some SoundPEATS T2 for £40 (down from £60) from Amazon.
They're pretty good, although I'd say a little tinny in places in certain songs and there's a hiss when low volume audio is happening in a song. Not sure I can get past that, especially as the Powerbeats are more or less silent. The SoundPEATS do have active noise cancelling, which works to some extent but not as well as I thought.

But I'm wondering perhaps I have scuppered myself with having really good earphones so now it'll be a struggle to move away from them unless paying the big bucks? I don't have the big bucks to pay for something I don't use that often.

I know the choice will be whether I can live with the hiss but not the cable but I'm still a little conflicted.

Any advice?

Powerbeats are not what I would call "good", they are OK unless you compare them to something really good. My dad has a pair and he liked pretty much all of the IEMs I had better.

For fully wireless ones, you won't get really good quality at a cheap price, the hiss you hear is probably just the back-ground wireless link noise.

You can try out some other cheaper wireless models if you want, https://www.cnet.com/tech/mobile/best-cheap-wireless-headphones/

For really good quality you can try a real IEM with a detachable cable and connect it to a Bluetooth cable. For about $50 I like the KX ZS10 Pro https://www.amazon.com/Monitor-Head...locphy=9001809&hvtargid=pla-873220595424&th=1 and you can get a bluetooth adapter for them https://www.amazon.com/KZ-Replacment-ZST-ED12-Headphones/dp/B073GN2DH1

Still have wires though.
The current Beats I have are wireless but connected to each other.

I quite like the buds effect as then there's completely no wires at all.
