Hey guys for the past few months my computer has been getting slower and slower on boot up and when loading into games im using a gtx 1070 and i5 4440 so i dont think its anything to do with them.

Im fairly sure its my HDD i ran crystaldisk and these were the results.

Honestly im not too sure what all of that means few google searches has resulted in me believing the HDD is going bad?

The HDD in question is Western Digital WD Green WD15EARS 1.5TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive.

IF it is time for a new hdd could anybody suggest me a decent cheap SSD and HDD currently thinking about a 1TB WD Black HDD and a ADATA 240GB Premier SP550 7mm ssd there £140 together but idk if i could get them cheaper or similar products cheaper.

so yeah just making sure my hdd is actually on its way out before i go spending money on new components. Thanks guys.

Yeah, you will want to make sure that any data on your drive that you don't want to lose is backed up and consider replacement. It could run for another few years or crash tomorrow. But, I guess that is the case for any drive. Just the same, your SSD + HDD idea seems to be a good one.

Doc Luke is right be sure you back up all important stuff off that drive, and any time you add something new to it back that up too.

For a boot Drive I think 250GB to 500GB SSD is good for that. SK Hynix has some very aggressively priced SSDs. If you have a SSD you don't really need a black drive as much. Since you are mainly putting your data on it, and your O/S and the programs for fast load are on the SSD. The Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM010 1TB should be good and it's not very expensive.
