Hi ,
I am thinking about upgrade some of my HDD´s to an Nvme SSD , I am using 3 HDD´s at the momment and honestly 2 of them are rarely used ( the 1tb and 500gb HDD`s ).

I wish to know if in my case the Nvme could have some negative impact on the GPU performance ?

I know the GPU is already kinda limited because is using onnly pcie 3.0 when could use pcie 4.0 if I had another motherboard, I just not want to limit even more the GPU performance , for what I´ve seen on my Motherboard manual I will lose 2 of the 6 sata connectors using the Nvme , but I think it does not mention losing anything more., but anyways I am asking here to be sure .

I am not used to install Nvme´s , when started to study about this world , Nvme´s were not still a thing yet LOL ,the sata ssd´s were starting to appear at the time ...

I am considering this one here : https://www.pcdiga.com/armazenament...p3-2tb-3d-nand-nvme-ct2000p3ssd8-649528918802

Pc specs :
Case NOX Coolbay SX Blue
AOC monitor with 21" and freesync , 75hz
Gigabyte b450 gaming X
AMD Ryzen 5 3600
Kingston HyperX FURY DDR4 (with RGB) at 3200mhz with XMP profile 1 enabled
MSI RX 6600XT 8gb
Bitfenix formula gold 550w
3 hdd´s from WD ,(1 wd green (500gb) , 1wd black (2tb) ,1 wd blue (1tb))
1 sata ssd (Kioxia 480gb)

Solution
I'd move your OS or the game library onto a large NVMe(since the board has one M.2 slot), then replace one of the other HHD's with a larger 2.5" SSD. Your SATA ports will be reduced, not bandwidth on the PCIe lanes to the first slot's GPU.

My OS is on my SSD at the momment my games are on 2tb HDD and some backups and not so important files on the 1tb hdd , the 500gb HDD is really just not doing so much there xD . My idea is to have one 2tb Nvme drive to have the OS and games and probably use the 500gb SSD for some backups and not important files , this way I remove all HDD´s from the system .

Thank you for your help and suggestions
