Thinking of delidding my I7700K is it really as easy as it looks?

Realistically is it as easy as it looks. Or are the videos online just edited to make it look that easy and are there any long term effects on the cpu using glue on the corners ect.

Do this only if you really need to
and if you fell you can do this you really need a expertise to do this

How screwed are you if it gets messed up? If not very and can get another, why not. If you can't, then don't mess with it. Delidding voids warranty and you have to ask yourself if it's operating so badly currently that you'd risk doing this.
