Question Thinking of exchanging my 7900xt for an xtx..

I’m thinking of exchanging and paying the difference for a 7900XTX but I’m not sure if I would need to upgrade my CPU and / or PSU if I were to do so.. here is my current pc.
P.S. ~ Gaming at 1440p

If you're not playing at 4K, then a CPU upgrade would make it more worthwhile.

xtx is a waste of time on 1440p... I mean, its overkill.

It depends on refresh rate but a 7900xt can easy do 144 I would think with that CPU. It can with my 5800x3d

Ok cool, yeah I have the pc built already and the things a monster. I was also thinking of exchanging it for a 4070ti for DLSS and also RT but idk how the raster performance is compared to the 7900xt, only thing is, I’d be losing 8gb of vram lol

They basically tied when it comes to comparing over 50 games. RT is better on Nvidia but AMD is better at raster (AMD can win on RT in some titles, looks like any Unreal 5 games will be close going forward)

I would just stay on 7900xt. That 8gb extra can come in handy and its less likely to be not enough any time soon.
Diablo 4 was using 18gb vram when I was playing it.
