Thinking of getting a new gpu

right ive got the 6970 at the moment and its done me well my mate who buys all my parts off me when i get new ones said he will buy mine off em for £200 cos its the direct c 2 so my question is should i go for the 6990? i know the 7990 is coming out soon but its gonna be out of my price range by a fair bit from what ive heard.

at the moment 1080 but gonna be moving up to 1200 soon

I don't see any reason in upgrading from a 6970 at this moment in time for 1920x1200. It should be able to handle anything you throw at it.
