Thinking of ordering a custom-spec laptop.

I'm considering purchasing a new custom-specified laptop for gaming purposes (and some miscellaneous software testing every now and then) and before I submit my order I'd like to know what components I should choose from which provider in order to get the best available.

250 GB HDD
4gb DDR3 RAM
quad core processor
analog volume-controller
optimal cooling (best available)
graphics/audio cards = ?


Any suggestion as of which element I should choose from which provider?

As in my initial post, mostly, but also for some miscellaneous software testing. (Assorted/random programs I happen to discover from time to time.)

Mostly everything.
From light-weight flash-games (online) to heavy games like the Elder scrolls.

What size...etc...
Don't see why this info is needed, as a laptop is usually the size of a laptop.



What I'm more interested in, is to find out which providers I should go to to find the best RAM, CPU, Processors, etc...
Durability, reliability and other thigns alike...

Think I'll rephrase my question a bit.


The info I wish to obtain is what's the best of what of the following components (+ additional ones I might have left out).

4gb DDR3 RAM
quad core processor
analog volume-controller
optimal cooling (best available)
graphics/audio cards = ?


i.e.
DDR3 RAM: Kingston, OCZ, Crucial, Corsair or another provider.

Same for the audio/graphics cards: Creative, ASUS, TerraTec/Radeon, GeForce, etc...



Also, I might have misunderstood a bit when you asked about size.

I usually use the standard resolution of 1024x768 when I play in order to optimize the fps (on heavy/fullscreen games), but on web-based flash-games, I use the resolution that fits the screen the best without having it look weird/stretched more in one way than the other (vertical/horizontal).


I hope this will help you a bit more than my initial info.

Alternatively, a site where I can find info from all providers regarding all types of cards would also be useful in the future, for comparison purposes.
(Google has never failed me before, but today it did. )

Price and size are an issue.
You can easy get to 5k usd barer.
For example:
