Hello everyone!

Ive been thinking about upgrading some of my components since I feel like my pc is not giving the performance that i need. However, i dont really know what to get.

Currently i have:

Mobo: 78LMT-USB3 R2
Cpu: AMD fx 8350
Cooler: hyper 212 evo
Gpu: Radeon R9 390
Ram: 8gb of ddr3 corsair vengeance memory 2x4gb sticks
PSU: Evga 650 GQ
HDD: 1Tb

Ive been looking around and the parts that Ive been thinking of getting are:

Mobo: B450M PRO-M2 micro atx
Cpu: Ryzen 5 2600x
Ram: 16 gb of Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200mhz ddr4 2x8gb

I use the computer mostly for gaming (games like Pubg, Dayz, Rust, and War Thunder) with very very rare video editing and everyday tasks like streaming and schoolwork.

A couple of my concerns are regarding the motherboard. Ive heard that the 2600x can be overclocked for some pretty decent performance and idk if the motherboard supports it. Also, idk if my components will fit on the motherboard given that the MSI r9 390 thant i have and the hyper212 are massive components. The cooler ever pushes on my current ram sticks a little bit just to fit.

What are some of your recommendations?

As always, thank you very much in advance for your help!

P.s. I am located in the US

B450 can overclock. I would suggest upgrading to a newer ryzen cpu as they are much much better for gaming.

This board is needed since it can have its bios updated to support the 3600 with just a usb stick.

whats the difference between that B450 that you linked and this one, besides one being micro atx and the other one being atx?

A b450 board needs a bios update prior to using a 3rd gen cpu.

The board you linked will require you to biy a 2nd gen cpu to update the bios and only them will it work with 3rd gen processors.

The b450 tomahawk can have its bios updated for 3rd gen support without a supported cpu and just a usb drive. This is simple and doesnt require any other purchases.

Also the b450 tomahawk is just a much nicer board all around.

You could buy a board with 3rd gen support out of the box, but you will spend $170 or more.

Is the G.Skill ram better than the corsair lpx? I see that the Gskill has 3600Mhz compared to the 3200Mjz of the corsair that i originally linked. However, isnt that after overclocking since ram comes at a lower standard speed? I see that the g skill ones have a lot of bad reviews due to them not being stable after some overclocking according to some users. And i honestly have no experience or know how to overclock RAM .-.
