I am currently using an 1150 lga processor intel core i7-4790k and nvidia titan x video card (which I intend to get a liquid cooling system for). I would like to replace my motherboard when I transplant my rig for better cooling and could use some advice in picking one since I don't have any experanice in picking hardware. I intend to transplant my rig into a Corsair Obsidian 900D CC-9011022-WW System Cabinet Tower. I currently bought my rig with a liquid cooling system but had two overheated parts that needed to be replaced because of a mini tower. I also need a motherboard or part that will shutdown the pc during power surges that fired my last motherboard even though the whole house should be surge protected. I also intend to add a total of 4 sticks of ram.
