Thinking of upgrading to a Corsair H55.

Upgrading from what and why exactly? Are your temps too high? I would not bother spending money on a new cooler, spend it on a better CPU.

Did you try new thermal paste on the existing cooler? I would not spend much on that CPU unless it's really having issues with running on the existing cooler, and would not spend the money on a lower end liquid cooler, would be mostly a waste of money past a good air cooler.
