[SOLVED] thinking upgrading my laptop with one ram slot, from 8gb ram to 16gb ram, is it worth it ?

my laptop ,lenovo ideapad L340-15, the regular one not the gaming one.
specs:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8565U CPU @ 1.80GHz (Cores : 4, Threads : 8)
Geforce MX230 2GB GDDR5
256SSD + 1TB HDD
8GB DDR4 2400MHz SODIMM

my laptop has one ram slot with one 8gb ram stick, i am planning to upgrade it to 1x16gb ram stick,
so is it worth the upgrade in term of "performance" ?

the 16gb ram in question i planning to get :

Crucial 16GB (1x16gb) Single DDR4 2666 MT/s

(OR)

CORSAIR VENGEANCE SODIMM 16GB (1x16GB) DDR4 2666

the native memory speed of the CPU is 2400MHz (MT/s), a higher rated RAM (like 2666MHz) won´t impact speed

16GB won´t be a boost but can help if the timings are at a lower value and the software you are using will use lots of memory

The Corsair you listed is slower (CL18) than the Crucial (CL16)
