I am looking to buy a gaming laptop that can serve for years for gaming and then for daily tasks and CAD work.
I break electronics easily so I want top quality. Been using thinkpads for years and never had a single regret ever. Any ideas? Regards.

Not that many brands are build like Thinkpads...and when they are, they are not as customizable or slick.
Which size & weight are you considering in the laptop?
Price range?

Size 15-17both fine, I want it for a desktop replacement, I can't buy a desktop because I change where I live twice a year due to my job.
Price range 2000-3000USD,(Lowest build possible since I have RAMS and SSD's and OS, etc).

Something that will age up eventually and not so fragile.
Even my Thinkpad T60 from highschool is still working flawlessly, lol.

The 'T' on the T60 stands for Tank.
Is the laptop mainly for work or gaming?
The closest I have seen is the Dell Precision Mobile Workstation line.
You could get it with a Core i7-10875H & RTX 3000 for around $3K...depending on configuration.
If you could go with a RTX 2070, The Razer Blade comes at $2k.

Mainly for regular use, few hours per week AAA gaming such as Cyberpunk, RdR2, etc. After I find a better deal or get bored I will give it to my brother who is an engineer and needs a decent CPU and GPU.

Actually, I better go with the P series... I just can't give up ThinkPad... After some research, I came up with four models, Asus Zephyrus, razer blade, MSI GS, P15 with RTX 4000.

Zephyrus is too gamer-like. I don't feel warm about it.
Msi GS is not customizable, you have to take the entire motherboard out to replace rams...
Blade they say has terrible thermals and not good for longer-term use.
P15 is so expensive that I can buy refurbished X1 carbon + PS5 + Monitor with its price. 😀,

I would stay with Thinkpads.
Have you seen the HP Omen 15. It looks promising.
I have a colleague, that got one with the 15", Core i7-10750H, RTX 2060, 32 GB RAM, 1TB NVMe for $1500.
He brakes everything, so he paid $200 extra for 4-year warranty + accidental.
