Question ThinkPad T480s not recognizing bootable USB

Hi there,

Just bought a T480s. The deal I got it on came configured with a 128gb drive. I purchased and installed a 500gb nvme drive to replace it. The NVME drive is showing up just fine.

Unfortunately, my T480s will not recognize my USB Windows boot drive in the boot menu. I've gone through legacy support, safe boot, and usb settings in the bios with no luck. Any ideas what I could be doing wrong? I made the USB using Microsoft's media creation tool, set to "create media for another PC". Thanks!

My most simplest answer is: check the usb is working, plug it into another USB port. If that doesn't work for whatever reason then get another usb and try that. Or it could be that the usb cables aren't plugged into the motherboard.
