The internal power supply, part number 54Y8907, has an issue where the fan is spinning too fast.

Spinning too fast! That's a new one. It's safer than running too slow.

The speed of most computer power supply fans is controlled by a temperature sensor inside the PSU.

When the PSU gets hot, the fan spins faster to provide more cooling. If you're running processor or graphics intensive tasks, the PSU will deliver more power and the fan will run faster to stop the PSU from overheating.

What is the ambient temperature of the air in the room where the computer is being operated? If the room gets hot, the fans in the computer will speed up.
