Third monitor setup?

I plan on buying another monitor, a Dell S2240M to match the one i already have, the thing is i also have a tv im using as a second monitor currently that i plan on occasionally using as a third monitor (hooked up via hdmi). I do have two graphics cards but when i tried to hook up two tvs to est it out, via hdmi to my computer as a second and third monitor i only got one to show up. I don't want to buy the new monitor and find out whenever i want to use the tv i have to unplug things, so is there anyway to tell if two monitors hooked up via dvi and one tv via hdmi would work?

I have a triple monitor setup at the office - 3 monitors (1 DVI, 1 HDMI, 1 Displayport) connected to a 750ti GPU. Have card are you using and what interface cables are you using?

I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti graphics card, and the cables i would use would be 2 dvi's and 1 hdmi.

Have you tried checking Device Manager to see if there are any problems?
