Probably a big part of why it’s “on sale” is that 4k60 is pretty old news. Plus higher refresh panels and technically the cards to push them well beyond are more common.

Very small amount of people who can run 4K beyond 60fps, maybe? You'd need an expensive system to do it.

Rather though, 1440p 144hz is best option for most.

Yeah that is true. Now I would personally go for a higher refresh rate over higher DPI if I had to make a choice, but that's just me.

I think most will agree with you. I have 1440p 144hz monitor even though most games maxed out I only get around 100fps.
