I'm buying a used pc soon and would like to know if the specs are any good for gaming.Games like Dead Space 1 and perhaps 2 and other a tad older games.2010 and onward.

So these are the specs:

Processor: Intel Core Quad Q9300 2.5 GHz

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P43-ES3G

Ram: 4 GB ddr 2

Graphic card : NVIDIA GeForce 9500GT 512 MB

PSU: 550W

Thanks in advance

I'm sorry for asking so much but I'm buying a pc for the fourth time and don't want to make any mistakes.Which brand and graphic card work best with gaming? Intel,Dell,HP?Concerning the graphic card is GeForce or rather Ati Radeon?

For 180 Euroes it's pretty good but the graphics card is pretty old and might not run some of the newer games or even games like dead space etc..

Well I would recommend building your own pc instead of buying it, ASUS and Lenovo make decent pcs (not dedicated for gaming though)

Okay.Thank you for the replies. One last question, for gaming,do you recommend Geforce cards or Ati radeon.I've heard the GeForce tends to generate more heat and thus overheat often.I know a lot depends on the cooling system and the number of fans, coolers.Your general thought about those two above please :) thank you

Well it's nVidia not GeForce, and AMD not ATi(not anymore anyway)
Generally nVidia has more expensive graphics cards that perform well whilst keeping cool whereas AMD has similar power GPUs for less that perform just as well if not better than the nVidia Equivalent for less but are generally hotter(as of the R9 290/x)
