I copied the following from my System Info

Are these the SATA drivers one would needed to reinstall the OS?

Cannot I just make dupes of these two instead of going bonkers looking
for them at the Dell site?

Hi!

Unlike a LOT of SATA implementations, the Intel chipset SATA does not
require any special drivers. They are available (or at least an INF file
update that makes the SATA support appear with its proper name), but you
don't really need them to get up and running.

Not necessarily true. Depends on the model and the BIOS setting.
