I'm putting in my new 500gb Samsung evo and i need to replace one of my older hard drives or my smaller ssd. I did a performance test on them and the Barracuda HDD seems to have glitched. Just wondering which one you would replace for the Samsung evo and if that is a glitch for the barracuda. thanks.

Since the posted images don't have anything on them to identify what the numbers are indicate, it's impossible to tell.

Generally speaking, replace the older hardware first.

Its strange that you're wondering which one to replace, trying to decide between 2 hard drives and 1 SSD.
Obviously the SDD is a lot faster than both those HDD's.

And yes, its almost certainly a glitch. Your Seagate wouldnt even dream of reaching these insane speeds. The same goes for the Hitachi drive.

Generally speaking, use SDD's for system drives, and HDD's for storage.
That being said, there's nothing and no one stopping you from using an SSD as a system drive, and another SSD for storage.

Use a better benchmark software for example atto or crystal disk mark.

I am guessing you don't have the space to keep them all inside the machine, so probably keep the Hitachi drive, as it looks to be the newest.

You could always get an external caddy to put the Seagate into so its still usable.

But are they in times, in which case smaller is better, or BPS, in which case lager is better?
