this concerns a ps3

I tried to connect my ps3(super slim) to my monitor via a HDMI cable followed by a HDMI to DVI converter. I am not getting anything on my screen...

You have to use the standard AUX cables and set the display to HDMI and then connect the HDMI cable then go to display settings at the home screen.

Try using your HDMI cable on another electronic device to determine if it is dead

i just bought it :s
and the same goes for the converter

Is there anyway you can connect your cable straight to the monitor because the PS3 may not notice that you are using a converter.

i've got only the converter, i'm planning on buying the cable soon enough...
i've checked the cable+converter on my gpu and it works :s

Yeah, definitely buy that cable I'm not truly sure if the PS3 supports DVI even though it's pretty much the same thing but DVI does not support audio on the PS3.

I already got the audio to work on a set of speakers, it's only the display that i'm not getting.
