This GTX 780 any good?

It's an amazing deal, but I know PNY Is usually people's last resorts but reading the reviews, the build quality seems to be amazing and it lights up white! xD Give your opinions.

It should be pretty good - it is only slightly behind a 970 in terms of performance.

Why would you get the GTX 780 over a GTX 970 when you can get the 970 for about 10-15 more.

Unless you are adding a second GTX 780 for Sli you are better off spending $25 more on a newer GTX 970 that is faster, runs cooler and uses less power.

The 970 is better than both of the cards from AMD but the 290x is equal roughly to the 780.

the GTX 970 is on par (or slightly better) with the 290x but it uses a lot less power and is easier to keep cool.

The 290X is very similar in performance to a GTX 970. The 290X does slightly better at very high resolutions ( 4K ) the GTX 970 does better at lower resolutions below 4K. The 290X also runs 20-30C hotter and needs a 650w power supply vs a 500w power supply for the GTX 970.

Not to start a argument, I will not buy a 970 due to the fact it's not 4gb, It's 3.5 I'm not buying a product that's falsely represented.

Sure, screw yourself out of the best deal on the market due to an advertising error. Why not. The card has 4GB by the way. The only issue is the semantics about how it's addressed. And since everyone knows about it now ( understanding it is another issue ) it's not being incorrectly marketed anymore is it?

I just find it funny that you want to pay the same price for a card that is 3gb and slower FROM THE SAME COMPANY, rather than get the one with "3.5gb" and faster.
